SWEDEN
EUROVISION 2008
Sweden - Charlotte Perelli - Hero
She sings ok and the music has a strong beat
but I don't think it is much of a song,
there is nothing really outstanding about it.

I like the 'Boney M' beat.
Indeed the song is not that fantastic but her singing is.
Nothing outstanding but it's just 'outstanding in it's simplicity' (no big show).
I like it because it catches the attention from the start and the switching between real good singing and the singing/telling keeps your attention till the end.
Or is it me being in a good mood these days ? ;-)

SAN MARINO
EUROVISION 2008
MI ODIO - SAN MARINO - COMPLICE
I don't care for this one, it is very dreary.
Mi Odio = I Hate Myself ( I wonder why? )

I like this one - The only song at the contest in this type of music.
A bit strange to find it on Eurovision but it's a music that has a lot of success right now.
It's not as good but a little 'try' to go in the direction of one of my favourite groups 'Muse'.

BELGIUM
BELGIUM- ISHTAR- O Julissi Na Jalini
Happy song for happy people :-)
This tune sure stays with one ;-)
RUSSIA
Good song with a positive message.
A different style singing on his knees ???????

Dima again makes a good performance. This will certainly go to the finals (already 1 place for the finals less for Belgium). I hope he gets rid of the Michael Jackson 'eh'.

The Netherlands - Hind - Your heart belongs to me
Good singer and nice sounds - I like this one.

Belgium - 2nd semi-finals
canadaguy said...
Ok, so I gave all FIVE another listen and my top THREE in no particular order, because I think they are all world class songs with a chance.
NELSON
SANDRINE
PARANOIACS
I will reduce to TWO when you tell me your top THREE :-)
Michel. said...
My n° 1 = SANDRINE
and
n° 2 = ISHTAR.
Ishtar will probably win.
March 8, 2008 9:06 AM
Ok then I will choose # 1 SANDRINE
# 2 NELSON
PARANOIACS will probably win hahahahahaha :-P

Israël - Boaz Mauda - Ke'ilu kan
Nice and touching voice, but would maybe be better with another song
canadaguy said...
I like the rhythmatic sound.
March 2, 2008 7:05 AM
Greece - Kalomoira - My Secret Combination
Maybe the secret combination has something to do with the 4 guys ? 'O' is the best part of the song/show
canadaguy said...
I agree about 'O'.
The guys are very sensuous in thier grubby looking clothes :-P but it's a song contest.
